Men's belt 115 cm: Which clothing sizes does this correspond to?

A men's belt of 115 cm can fit various clothing sizes. Generally, this size corresponds to the following jeans and suit sizes:

  • Jeans size 40 (suit size 56)
  • Jeans size 42 (suit size 58)

It is good to know that your belt size often corresponds to your waist circumference in centimeters. For example, if your waist circumference is closer to 110 cm than 115 cm, you could also consider taking a 110 cm belt. The belt will then have a slightly shorter overlap. Vice versa, this naturally applies if you are closer to 120 cm. In that case, you can choose to take a size 120. This is a personal preference; some find a shorter overlap more attractive, while others prefer a longer one. If size 110 or 120 is not always available for a belt, always choose size 115!

How do you measure your ideal belt size?

Determining the right belt size is simple. Follow one of these methods:

Option 1: Measuring a well-fitting old belt

Lay your current, well-fitting belt flat on a table. Measure the distance from the beginning of the leather at the buckle (so you do not include the buckle itself) to the hole you use the most. The number of centimeters you measure is your ideal belt size. Belts are standardly delivered with five holes, where the middle hole is the indicated size of the belt. This therefore gives you two holes of flexibility on both sides.

Option 2: Measuring your waist circumference

Wear trousers that you would often wear with a belt. Pull a measuring tape through the loops of your trousers, at the height where you normally wear your belt. Do not pull the measuring tape too tight, but ensure it fits comfortably.

The number of centimeters you measure is your belt size. For example, if you measure 117 cm, it is best to order a 115 cm belt. If you measure 118 cm, a 120 cm belt is likely a better choice, depending on whether you prefer a tighter or looser fit and how much overlap you desire. If you are in doubt or the belt is not available in size 120, then choose size 115.

Option 3: Checking your jeans size in the table below

You can read your trouser size on the label on the inside of your trousers or on the label on the back of your jeans. The number that is next to the W (Waist) is the size you need for your belt size.

This option is a bit more difficult because many different jeans brands calculate sizes differently. However, generally these sizes are accurate and it is safe to stick to this.
