Men's belt 105 cm: Which clothing sizes does this correspond to?

A men's belt of 105 cm can fit various clothing sizes. Generally, this size corresponds to the following jeans and suit sizes:

  • Jeans size 34 (suit size 52)
  • Jeans size 36 (suit size 54)
  • Jeans size 38 (suit size 56)

It is good to know that your belt size often corresponds to your waist circumference in centimeters. If your waist circumference is, for example, closer to 100 cm than to 105 cm, you could also consider getting a 100 cm belt. The belt will then have a slightly shorter overlap. Vice versa, this naturally applies if you are closer to 110 cm. In that case, you can choose to take a size 110. This is a personal preference; some people prefer a shorter overlap, while others prefer a longer one. If a size 100 or 110 is not always available for a belt, always choose size 105!

How to measure your ideal belt size?

Determining the right belt size is easy. Follow one of these methods:

Option 1: Measure a well-fitting old belt

Lay your current, well-fitting belt flat on a table. Measure the distance from the beginning of the leather at the buckle (so you do not include the buckle itself) to the hole you use most often. The number of centimeters you measure is your ideal belt size. Belts are standardly supplied with five holes, where the middle hole is the indicated size of the belt. This gives you two holes of leeway in both directions.

Option 2: Measure your waist circumference

Wear trousers that you would often wear with a belt. Thread a tape measure through the belt loops of your trousers, at the height where you normally wear your belt. Do not pull the tape measure too tight, but ensure it fits comfortably.

The number of centimeters you measure is your belt size. If you measure 107 cm, for example, it is best to order a 105 cm belt. If you measure 108 cm, a 110 cm belt is likely a better choice, depending on whether you prefer a tighter or looser fit and how much overlap you desire. If you are in doubt or if the belt is not available in size 110, then you should always choose size 105.

Option 3: Check your jeans size in the table below

You can read your trouser size on the label on the inside of your trousers or on the label on the back of your jeans. The number next to the W (Waist) is the size you need for your belt size.

This option is slightly more difficult because many different jeans brands calculate sizes differently. However, in general, these sizes are accurate and it is safe to stick to them.
